Bucking Bronco Cross Stitch Chart

Artwork with animals is my favorite. This was the cover of a The Country Gentleman on October 4, 1919. The charting turned out brilliantly. The original painting was by J. C. Allen.

A woman riding a bucking bronco. The woman is depicted dynamically, leaning back as the horse rears up. She wears a wide-brimmed hat, a long-sleeved shirt, and a skirt. The horse is a pinto, with patches of white and dark brown or black. The background is a muted orange-toned sunset or sunrise, with a suggestion of a desert landscape. The overall color palette is warm and earthy, with muted blues and oranges dominating.

This chart is 257x280 stitches. It contains 78 colors.

What's Included

These designs are charted for 18-count fabric using two strands of thread, but can be adapted to any fabric count. Adjustments will affect the finished size and thread requirements. Each chart includes a 30% thread excess estimate. A fabric calculator is provided in the footer of each page; inputting the stitch count will determine the necessary fabric size.

All charts include a black and white chart, color chart, symbol guide, and shopping list. Exceptions apply to designs with fewer than 15 colors, those using only one skein per color, or those explicitly stated as including only one chart type in the listing description.
