Boy on Firetruck Cross Stitch Chart

Here is another piece from the amazing Stevan Dohanos. His pieces are so stunningly detailed, you are going to love this one. This was the cover of "The Saturday Evening Post" on November 14, 1953.

This chart is 387x400 stitches wide and contains 143 colors. You probably won't believe that I reduce the number of colors for every chart I create. I clean up what I call orphan stitches, when there are just a few of one color. I also merge some of the colors that are really similar if they are in the background of the piece, keeping only a lot of color in the details.

What's Included

These designs are charted for 18-count fabric using two strands of thread, but can be adapted to any fabric count. Adjustments will affect the finished size and thread requirements. Each chart includes a 30% thread excess estimate. A fabric calculator is provided in the footer of each page; inputting the stitch count will determine the necessary fabric size.

All charts include a black and white chart, color chart, symbol guide, and shopping list. Exceptions apply to designs with fewer than 15 colors, those using only one skein per color, or those explicitly stated as including only one chart type in the listing description.
